Amaayu Water
Ingredients

Everything in the bottle, and what it is doing there

Purified water plus a formulation — nothing hidden behind the word “proprietary”. Every active across the range is listed below with what it contributes and which bottles carry it.

The formulation is infused into the water at bottling. There is no sachet, no cap to twist and nothing to mix in.

Vitamins

7
  • Vitamin C

Supports normal immune function and collagen formation, and protects cells from oxidative stress. Water-soluble, so the body does not store it — a daily intake is the point.

  • Vitamin E

A fat-soluble antioxidant that protects cell membranes from oxidative damage.

  • Biotin (Vitamin B7)

Vitamin B7. Contributes to the maintenance of normal hair, skin and mucous membranes.

  • Vitamin A

Contributes to normal vision, to the maintenance of normal skin, and to the immune system working the way it should.

  • Vitamin B-Complex (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12)

The energy-metabolism group. B vitamins do not supply energy themselves — they help the body release it from the food you already eat.

  • Vitamin B6

Contributes to normal homocysteine metabolism, to the nervous system, and to normal protein and glycogen metabolism.

  • Vitamin D3

The form your own skin makes in sunlight. Contributes to normal bones, muscle function and immunity — and is the one most commonly short in Indian diets.

Minerals & electrolytes

8
  • Zinc

Contributes to normal immune function, to the maintenance of normal skin and hair, and to normal vision.

  • Magnesium

Contributes to normal muscle and nerve function and to normal energy-yielding metabolism. Lost in sweat, which is why it turns up in both the heart and the electrolyte formulations.

  • Calcium

Contributes to normal muscle function and neurotransmission, and to normal bones and teeth.

  • Chromium Picolinate

A trace mineral in its most absorbable form. Contributes to normal macronutrient metabolism and to the maintenance of normal blood glucose.

  • Copper

Works alongside zinc and iron. Contributes to normal connective tissue and to normal hair pigmentation.

  • Natural mineral electrolytes

The naturally occurring mineral salts left in the water rather than stripped out of it — what makes water rehydrate rather than just wet.

  • Potassium

The electrolyte that works opposite sodium. Contributes to normal muscle function and normal blood pressure.

  • Sodium

The electrolyte you lose most of in sweat, and the one that governs how much of what you drink you actually retain.

Plant actives

5
  • Green Coffee Extract (Chlorogenic Acid)

Unroasted coffee bean extract. Roasting destroys most of its chlorogenic acid, which is the compound this is here for — it is associated with steadier sugar handling after a meal.

  • Green Tea Extract (EGCG)

A catechin-rich extract. EGCG is the catechin most studied for thermogenesis — the body’s own heat production, and one of the ways it spends energy at rest.

  • Hibiscus Extract

A deep-red botanical rich in anthocyanins, taken across India and West Africa as a circulation tonic long before anyone measured it.

  • Lutein

A carotenoid that concentrates in the macula of the eye, where it filters high-energy blue light. The body cannot make it — it has to be eaten.

  • Zeaxanthin

Lutein’s partner pigment in the same layer of the retina. The two are almost always studied, and dosed, together.

Amino acids & antioxidants

4
  • CoQ10 Complex

Coenzyme Q10 sits inside the mitochondria, where cells generate energy. The heart holds more mitochondria per gram than any other muscle, and levels fall with age.

  • L-Carnitine

An amino-acid derivative whose job is transport: it carries stored fatty acids across the membrane into the mitochondria, which is the only place they can be burned.

  • L-Glutamine

The amino acid the cells lining the gut use as their preferred fuel. It supports the integrity of that lining.

  • L-Glutathione

A tripeptide the body makes for itself and calls on first against oxidative stress — which is why it is usually described as the master antioxidant.

Fibres & cultures

2
  • Bacillus Coagulans (Probiotic)

A spore-forming probiotic. The spore coat is the reason it survives a bottle on a shelf and the acid of the stomach, which most cultures do not.

  • Inulin (Prebiotic Fibre)

A soluble plant fibre you do not digest — the bacteria in your large intestine do. Feeding them is what makes it a prebiotic rather than just fibre.

Amaayu is a packaged functional beverage, not a medicine. Nothing here diagnoses, treats, prevents or cures any condition, and it works alongside a balanced diet rather than in place of one.
